This is absolutely wonderful, antique or vintage portrait has somewhat of a folk art look to it. I found this during an estate liquidation, and it was buried up in the attic of a garage, which had become a Work/painting studio. The woman was an art teacher so I am unsure if she painted this herself or if another had as it is unsigned. The canvas and the framing date probably to sometime between the 1950s and the 1980s. Antique frames were usually not put together with staples. The painting, however, is extremely well done as you can see from the up close details. She just has a mysterious look to her.
The back of the canvas does have some dust and dirt I am not going to clean that I will leave that for the new owner to do as I do not want to disrupt the artwork. There is a small area of damage at the top right corner of the frame, but that damage does not extend down into the viewable area.
