19th century wooden box inlaid with mother-of-pearl.
The box has its original key. On the interior, the tray that was ounce inside is long gone. Someone has painted it blue and added some decorative paper to the lid. These boxes really show how they were loved and used throughout history with the alterations made by their previous owners. The box is in good condition with minor cracks to the wood.
The detailing is stunning.
